Precision
0.1 g is the difference between good and repeatable
Coffee is a ratio problem. A 15 g dose that lands at 17 g because your scale rounds to the nearest gram is a 13% swing in strength — enough to take a balanced cup thin or bitter.
The Bagail Basics resolves 0.1 g and reads from 0.3 g all the way to 3,000 g (6.6 lb), so it is fine enough for a single bean and strong enough for a full brewer, carafe and water load.
It settles quickly while you pour and reacts to every 0.1 g you add — which means you can stop the kettle at 240.0 g instead of somewhere near it. Underneath, the platform is ABS with a removable silicone pad, and the load cell is protected from the small knocks that quietly cost a cheap scale its accuracy.
Press T to tare the carafe, the filter and the grounds as you work through a recipe. Six units — grams, millilitres, ounces, pounds, pounds-and-ounces and fluid ounces — cover coffee, baking and everything in between.
